Starke Stücke

Once a year, „Starke Stücke“-Festival invites outstanding international theatre productions for young audiences to the Rhine-Main region. Between 80 and 90 performances for all age groups are hosted at around 30 locations. „Starke Stücke“ started back in the year 1994 and continues to be a central event for families, schools and kindergardens from all over the Rhine-Main region.

As part of the supporting programme on theater-related education, around 100 workshops are held for school classes and groups of children during the festival. The workshops investigate the performances and provide access to performing arts.

The festival is financed by a network of municipal and private organisers who support and encourage quality children’s and youth theater and cultural education in the region under the umbrella of KulturRegion FrankfurtRheinMain.
